I see a lot of subdivisions in my line of work. They're anywhere from very bland to well done. Yesterday I went to a new subdivision that is right there on top. If you're looking for land and 35 minutes from Milwaukee is not too far; you have to check out "Old Stone Bridge Estates". The subdivision is located a couple miles west of Hartford.

For the most part, I can go into any subdivision and see all there is to offer within 15 minutes. That's not the case with "Old Stone Bridge Estates". The developer suggests that if you're looking for land, come out here on the weekend with a picnic basket and enjoy yourself while you look at what he has to offer. That is far from an exaggeration. It took me 2 1/2 hours just to walk through without stopping along the way to savor the beauty of nature. That is not an exaggeration, if you go out there and check it out, you'll feel this is an understatement.
http://www.home2000.com/photo/sub/bridgea.jpgThe picture of the bridge is such an underrated photograph. Unfortunately, you only see with your eyes. You miss the peaceful sounds the water offers as it lightly rushes slowly over stones and those things of nature that help give you a beautiful feeling of freedom. There comes a time in life that you feel like you missed the boat, without the ability to write. Well, this is one. I wish I could put into words the beauty that is offered at "Old Stone Bridge Estates". It's not just the stone bridge. As you walk through the many trimmed areas scattered with beautiful trees you feel so relaxed and picture your family, enjoying the beauties of nature. While you're walking next to this stream in an opening perfect for any picnic, you look just beyond to see woods left in their natural state.

Okay, lets not forget, we're out here to find a beautiful lot to spend our retirement or raise our family on. It's there for all to enjoy. Many of the lots border, this beautiful area. For those lots not bordering, I'll call park, you still have a beautiful selection of many well-developed lots. Based on my conversation with the developer, Marty Pankow, whose wife, Suzanne, grew up on this land and Father-In-Law, Kenny Heck, planted the trees and sculpted the ponds; this land was planned for nature lovers. If you're a nature lover but looking for a budget lot, don't tease yourself by visiting this subdivision. But if you're looking for a piece of land that you can spend all your days, walk along the brook, picnic with your family or just enjoy the beauties of nature, look no further. Am I a nature lover? Well not really, but I just became one. This development is a one of a kind.

If you're a developer take the time to go out and look at this piece of land. If you feel you have something to offer, better than this, I definitely want to review it.

Rating 10 - Old Stone Bridge Estates 05-08-2009

I doubt if you'll ever see me rate another subdivision with a value of 10. In everything I do, I leave that reserve for that one item that just is outstanding.

This is a subdivision that was in a naturel state and than developed into an outstanding piece of land. The work involved was more than a bulldozer plowing through land. You can see the care that went into the trees and land.

Schools are about the best and great resturants are within 10 minutes. Shopping in Harford is pleasant and close.

A lot, no pun intended, goes into a well developed subdivision. When you take into account the beauty of the subdivision and the closeness and convenience of the supporting things in life, this all added up gives it a well deserved rating of 10.
